Moschino: Highlights from Milan Fashion Week Spring 2012
Look 1: While other Italian designers kept their inspirations close to home, Moschino’s Rossela Jardini went to Spain, with a brief stop in the American Wild West. Throughout, she worked matador jackets in various levels of beading and lace detail, worn with crisp white shirts and leggings or short shorts. Save for their gold sandals, these ladies looked like they were gearing up for the real deal.
Look 2: Otherwise, she offered lacy blouses and long frilled or pleated skirts with a flamenco flare (and demonstrative flower in the hair). She stuck to a black, cream and white palette with shots of bumblebee yellow.
Look 3: While the runway skewed youthful with its floral embroidery, kitschy accessories and short hemlines, there were some looks for the ladies who lunch set, like double-breasted blazers or looser jackets with contrast details.
Look 4: Lace was big here, whether done as an accent across the neckline and sleeves of bright yellow silk looks, black floaty dresses or a slinkier floor-length number in ivory.
Look 5: Jardini finished with an ultra feminine ruffled Spanish flourish, but not before she injected the runway with some fringed suede jackets and dresses, topped with cowboy hats.
